About

I’m in my 40’s, a mother, an animal lover, into craft, I draw (though you’ll never see my works in any gallery, perhaps only in kindergartens), I write but have never been published, an avid reader, opinionated, funny in my own mind, I am a gamer chick, suffer from migraines, severe headaches, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, depression, possible PTSD and most importantly I am on the road to discovering my own true worth.

I have survived domestic abuse/rape only to become stronger and more determined to live my life as I see fit.  It is a path I have just started, so I’m only fumbling my way around. In time I hope to help those effected by abuse to overcome the hurdles they face in life. To help them rediscover life and all it has to offer.

I would like to see in my life time (but I’m not holding my breathe) an end to domestic abuse and rape. I believe this can be achieved through education and community vigilance. First we need to stop victim blaming and set our sights clearly on the perpetrators. We all need to listen to what the victims, the survivors, have to say. We can start by believing their stories, by helping them recover and support them as they decide whether or not to report the terrible crime they have suffered. Time will tell if we, the population of the earth, can over come something that has been ingrained within our societies for centuries.
